In 2021, Embodied Apparel provided 7 endowments to our pioneers and recipients, including Malcolm X (The Shabazz Center), Assata Shakur (Assata’s Daughters), Shirley Chisholm (Shirley Chisholm Education Fun), Fred Hampton (Save the Hampton House), Angela Davis (Critical Resistance), Mahalia Jackson (Black Women Health Imperative) and Free Community Food Program resulting in a total of $1,700.
In 2022, Embodied Apparel has continued to provide several endowments in honor of our pioneers resulting in over $770 donated. Organizations who received gifts included Critical Resistance, Huey P. Newton Foundation, Creative Girls Rock, Youth Villages, Black Girls Breathing, Black Women Health Imperative, and Turn90.
In 2023, Embodied Apparel provided self-care encouragement and donations totaling in over $1000 to Critical Resistance, Huey P. Newton Foundation, The Shabazz Center, Youth Villages, The Equity Alliance, and more.
